Food Distribution - Thursday

When volunteering for a food distribution shift you can make a significant difference in the lives of others. Every role during the distribution process is crucial to ensure that our neighbors receive the assistance they need. As a volunteer, you may be assigned to various tasks, such as:

1. Shopping on behalf of the neighbor: You will be given a list of items to collect from the Community Choice Room, Government Programs Room, the Fresh Market, and The Pharmacy ensuring that each neighbor receives the appropriate food items based on their needs and preferences.
2. Taking the order of the neighbor: You will interact directly with the neighbors, taking their orders and noting any specific requests or dietary restrictions they may have.
3. You may work in the Community Choice Room, Government Programs Room, or the Fresh Market to gather the requested items and organize them for efficient distribution.
4. Maintaining supply throughout distribution: To ensure that the distribution process remains equitable, you may help maintain the supply of food items in the Community Choice Room and/or the Fresh Market, restocking as necessary and ensuring that all neighbors have access to a balanced selection of goods.

Throughout your volunteer shift, you will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and staff members who share a common goal of serving the community.
